42 Coffee&co.

For the short version: 42 Coffee&co., Vlaška 42, Zagreb. The best coffee in that proximity of main square in he nice enviroment. For the long version:

It became commonly known that I don't drink just any kind of coffee, only a good one. It's physically impossible for me to swallow coffee (if we could even call it that way) that doesn't taste decent at very least. It can't be bitter or have that bitter aftertaste. I'm no expert in describing tastes as much as I love them (is there a book from which I can learn? I mean, there are books for everything, must be for this too, let me know if there is any ;) ), but if I tell you that something impresses me, take it seriously. Not many things impress me.
But this coffee did. It’s just the perfect thing. I came back the very next day for another one.
What drawn me to it more is the fact that it’s close enough to main square (where most action happens), the cups with cute messages and the ambience.

I was asked many times about what does a coffee shop or a bar has to offer in order to have me as a customer and my answer stays the same:
  1.    Good product. It’s that thing that’ll have me back or chase me away forever. It’s why I’m there.
  2.     Lovely interior. We people, we are visual creatures. Some more than others, but still, we care how something looks like. I’m not the one to discharge something just because its looks, but it is definitely a factor when deciding where I spend my time.
  3.     Comfortable atmosphere. That aura that makes you feel comfortable. It can be artificially made with adequate heating system, lightning, good music that doesn’t play too loud nor too quiet, as well as naturally. Natural aspect comes from people working there, their kindness and knowledge. Other visitors count in too.

If it doesn’t satisfy those demands it doesn’t get my recommendation.
Would you agree with me? What are your demands for a good coffee place?

I'm always way to happy to find a good coffee and always dissapointed to realize that is never enough of those places. I wish there were everywhere or at least where I need them: by the place where I live, next to Uni and everywhere. At this point, I know three; Elis café, this place and third comming up, so stay tuned!
Love, A.
